Treasure Wood · buyback

Have an old barn, shed or beams from a demolition? I will buy them.

Every one of my pieces starts with wood that someone wanted to burn or haul away. If you have old boards, beams, doors or floors — send a photo and the location. I will answer honestly: whether it is usable and what I can offer for it.

What I am looking for

  1. 01

    Boards from barns and sheds

Cladding boards with patina, sun and nail marks. The wider and longer, the better.

  2. 02

    Beams and logs

Oak, pine, larch — hand-hewn or sawn, notches and tenons welcome.

  3. 03

    Old doors, windows, gates

With original fittings and paint. For restoration, or as a panel or a furniture front.

  4. 04

    Floors and stairs

Wide floorboards, treads and handrails from houses being demolished or renovated.

  5. 05

    Oak from water and peat

Blackened beams and boards that lay in a pond, river or wet meadow. Rare — always wanted.

Process

How it works

  1. 01

    A photo and the location

Send 2–3 photos: the whole thing from a distance and a close-up of a cross-section or board end. No need to clean or measure precisely.

  2. 02

    An honest answer

I reply within a few days: whether the wood is usable, what I can offer and whether collection makes sense at that distance.

  3. 03

    Collection

We agree a date. With bigger demolitions I can help on site — that is how the bog-blackened oak from a barn by the Bug river came to me.
